Terms & conditions – Kero Escapes

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking. By accessing, browsing, using, or completing a reservation through our website (www.keroescapes.fi), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms. These terms may be updated periodically and apply to all services provided by Kero Escapes.
Kero Escapes is an experience provider offering guided nature activities and wellness programs in Finnish Lapland. Bookings can be made directly through our website or via authorized partners. If you encounter any issues, please contact us!
Kero Escapes reserves the right to modify or cancel programs due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. We are not responsible for costs or losses resulting from events beyond our control, such as flight delays, injuries, extreme weather, or natural disasters.
1. Booking and confirmation
By booking or participating in a Kero Escapes experience, you agree to these terms. Each experience is described individually, including pricing, inclusions, and any specific requirements.
2. Prices
All prices are listed in Euros (EUR) and include VAT according to Finnish tax law. Kero Escapes is not responsible for currency fluctuations or additional fees such as bank charges or credit card processing fees.
3. Payment
We accept major credit/debit cards. Kero Escapes reserves the right to adjust prices due to unforeseen costs such as tax changes or fuel surcharges.
4. Promotional codes
Discount codes must be applied at the time of booking. They cannot be applied retroactively or refunded.
5. Liability
Kero Escapes complies with Finnish safety regulations. We are liable for injuries or damages caused by our negligence or faulty equipment. Customers are responsible for their own travel insurance and coverage. Participation in all experiences is at your own risk.
6. Safety
We reserve the right to modify or cancel experiences due to safety concerns (e.g., extreme weather). Full refunds will be issued in case of cancellation. Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. If a participant poses a risk to themselves or others, we may terminate their participation without refund.
7. Participant responsibility
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. Kero Escapes is not liable for lost or damaged items. If equipment provided by Kero Escapes is lost or damaged due to negligence, the participant may be held financially responsible.
8. Extraordinary circumstances
We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, or other force majeure situations. We will notify you as soon as possible and attempt to minimize disruption.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will be settled in the District Court of Lapland (Lapin Käräjäoikeus), Rovaniemi.
10. Changes to terms
Kero Escapes may update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will be available on our website.
11. Health and medical conditions
Participants are responsible for disclosing any relevant health conditions, allergies, or physical limitations prior to booking. Kero Escapes reserves the right to refuse participation if a guest is deemed unfit for the activity. Participants must carry any necessary medications and inform guides of any critical health concerns.
This is especially important for sauna and ice swimming experiences, which require adequate physical condition and cardiovascular health. Sauna and ice swimming are not recommended for individuals with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or other medical risks unless cleared by a physician.
12. Accessibility
Most experiences require moderate physical ability. Sauna experiences specifically involve heat exposure, movement between hot and cold environments, and safe use of facilities. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact us before booking.
13. Age restrictions
Minors may participate only when accompanied by a legal guardian.
14. Environmental responsibility
Kero Escapes promotes sustainable tourism and nature conservation. Guests are expected to:

We encourage environmentally responsible behavior throughout all experiences.
15. Data protection
We comply with Finnish and EU data protection laws. Personal data is used solely to complete bookings and improve services. We do not share personal information with third parties except when necessary to deliver booked services.
16. Cancellation policy
All cancellation requests must be made in writing, preferably by email, by the lead traveler. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7 working days. Kero Escapes is not responsible for delays in receiving your refund once processed.
Cancellation ≥ 30 days before the experience: 100% refund
Cancellation ≥ 14 days before the experience: 50% refund
Cancellation < 14 days before the experience or no-show: no refund
17. Changes to reservations
Reservation changes must be requested in writing at least 72 hours before the experience. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
